Welcome to the SoNZ Drivers Club, exclusively for supercar and high-end sports car owners in NZ who really want to use their cars as intended by factory – on the road and on the track! Our private club has enabled members to experience other brands on a regular basis and enjoy a friendly group who all love their cars! MEMBERSHIP RELATED

Membership is initially probationary pending attendance at a SoNZ scheduled event. SoNZ’s membership committee will confirm permanent membership as approved, or otherwise, soon after that event. Their decision is final.

A decision will be predominantly based on “fit” within the group and acting within the spirit of the Club, employing safe driving standards and obeying event rules.

WHAT IS A SUPERCAR or SPORTS CAR?

The term supercar is sometimes used interchangeably with exotic car, but the definition is ultimately subjective. Some may say a supercar is distinct due to limited availability, while others will key in on acceleration and top speed. Autocar cites numerous definitions, but ultimately scribed “…defining whether a car is a supercar comes down, as it always did, to blind prejudice. A supercar isn’t about stats, it’s about a mindset. Does it make you go a bit tingly? Yes? It’s probably a supercar.” We keep it simple =- an exotic car that reaches 0-100 kmph < 3.0 seconds! Pricing related

The initial event attendance includes a one-off admin processing fee of $1,565+GST.

Family membership is an additional $300+GST.

This initial admin fee is non-refundable. If you are accepted as a permanent member, SoNZ will provide membership for 12 months (Club year is to 30th September) on a pro-rata basis aligning you to the following year’s annual membership period.

The ongoing annual membership cost is $695+GST PA ($995+GST PA family option) and reviewed annually.

NOTE: Members residing in Wellington and within 150km radius of there, will pay a reduced annual fee of $395+GST to factor in their inability to attend casual days which are predominantly run out of Auckland.

At annual rollover, membership will cease if Club fees are not paid on or ahead of due date. Members would need to re-apply, via any prevailing wait list that is used to fill membership places, when membership is released. SoNZ will send annual membership invoices mid-September each year
