At our circuit events, experienced instructors are available to support members who want to improve their driving skills and better understand the capabilities of their cars. Through guidance and feedback, members can learn about car dynamics, braking and cornering techniques, and how to drive their cars with greater confidence and control.
Whether you’re new to driving on a circuit or looking to refine your technique, instructor-supported sessions provide a safe and enjoyable environment to develop your driving ability while getting the most out of your car.

Despite the weather gods crying upon the whole day, I got to experience the R35 GTR on road, through the twisty Hakone mountain passes, blast through tunnels (windows down, gear shifting and listening to the magic), and at Fuji circuit. it was still a great day out!
The R35 I had for the day was tuned to around 760bhp and while it had a twitchy throttle in 1st & 2nd gears, it was an absolute blast to drive. It was surprisingly easy and predicable, although you could certainly tell it is heavier than I’m used to.
We arrived at Fuji raceway, I ensured the diff lock was on, shifting power bias to the rear wheels. I learnt later in the day how insanely good the grip was despite the boost delivery coming on rapidly.
Driving Fuji circuit on the sim at home (I-racing) meant I knew the track well. It’s incredible how accurate the sim is - read identical.
What was to be the highlight, ended up being fun but a little frustrating with all that power ready to enjoy! I knew it was always going to be controlled but it was timid. We had 3 laps behind a control car that literally cruised around at 80-120kph - we can do 160kph at home on an “experience” type drive, without an issue.
The mountain driving was way more fun and less controlled. Evo and a RX7 in front, sliding around a few corners. I dropped back a couple of times to create a catch up opportunity 😊

Another milestone achieved today - 14,000km in the GT2RS. Now aged 8 years, these cars are finally getting the respect they deserve with prices over GBP500k now. That should make me nervous to drive it but “no”!!!
I have however, only added 900km last year, which is shocking …so I’ve decided I MUST drive it more over the next 12m.
